Priest John Cook, Rector
Father John is a convert to Orthodoxy with 17 years in ministry. He and his wife Matushka Tamara live in the Ruther Glen area. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theological Studies and a Masters in Divinity. Fr. John also served as a Chaplain in the Maryland Defense Force supporting the Maryland National Guard he also served in the US Army as an IT Engineer. A bi-vocational priest, he works as a Computer Systems Engineer in Northern Virginia.
Sub-Deacon Stylianos (Daren) Volpe
Stylianos is a convert to Orthodoxy being raised in the Episcopal Church and was first Tonsured a Reader by his Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion, the First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia (ROCOR) and later Ordained Sub-Deacon by his Eminence Metropolitan Jonah. Stylianos is a graduate of the Orthodox Theological studies Diploma program at Saint Irenaeus House of Orthodox Studies and is currently enrolled in the Masters program. Stylianos is a student of the Prosopon School of Iconology under the mentorship of Master Iconographer Hieromonk Mefodii. Stylianos lives in the Richmond area with his Wife Donna and their little doggie Mya
